The NHS test and trace service:

ensures that anyone who develops symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) can quickly be tested to find out if they have the virus, and also includes targeted asymptomatic testing of NHS and social care staff and care home residents

helps trace close recent contacts of anyone who tests positive for coronavirus and, if necessary, notifies them that they must self-isolate at home to help stop the spread of the virus

Any MAS worker showing any of the coronavirus symptons should inform the NHS and where required to  take a TEST as soon as possible, as you may be expected to end your assignment for a period of 14 days.  The sooner you do the test if you have symptons, the sooner you can be given the all clear, to go back to work if your illness is not Covid 19.  Unless you are a positive test.

If it is COVID 19 you MUST NOT go to work for at least 14 days after diagnosis, or during the dates given to you by the NHS. For the purpose of SSP, your quarantine notice will be required to prove your health position and validate any claims for SSP under the current rules.
