Van Driver - Catering Team Immediate start

Experienced Van Driver required for the timely delivery and collection of supplies, catering equipment including food to boarding houses and function venues for a leading educational establishment.

Our clients' catering department is a busy operation offering a food service to 1050 students, 600 staff and visitors which includes a residential lettings business, that operates outside of normal term time. As part of the General Services Department you will be responsible for delivering high quality food and customer service.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

To work as part of the logistics team delivering and collecting supplies and hardware to various locations across the site in a timely manner

To assist in the preparation of hot and cold beverages for delivery to sports events and other locations as required

To maintain the company vehicles both internally and externally, including completion of van checklists in line with Health and Safety

To act as banksman (male or female) when required and in line with Health and Safety and Manual Handling Regulations

To manually handle all waste to include recycling.

To understand and comply with statutory health, hygiene and safety & quality standards. This includes COSHH and HACCP ensuring tasks are carried out in accordance with policy and relevant law.

To maintain a high standard of dress and personal hygiene

To attend meetings and training sessions as required

To report any incidents of accident, fire, theft, loss or damage and take action as may be appropriate

To carry out any reasonable request from any member of the management team within the general scope and purpose of the job

The ideal candidate should possess:

Excellent spoken and written English, and a Good standard of literacy and numeracy.

Professional Qualifications including a Full clean driving license, driving experience, working with children, knowledge of Basic Health and Food Safety.  Banksman training, would be an advantage.

Working as part of a team, within a customer focused environment with an understanding of the importance of adhering to Health and Safety regulations. Good time management and an awareness of Safeguarding requirements and good practice within an educational setting is also desirable. The ability to perform well and remain professional whilst under pressure  is essential.

We are currently recruiting a professional to join the business in the role of Specialist Cleaning Manager. To be responsible and accountable for the organisation and management of the projects team, to enable the delivery of specialist cleaning services in an efficient, professional and customer-focused manner.

Main Duties & Responsibilities working from London and Reading
• Responsible for ensuring Team leaders/team are aware of weekly schedules of work and duties expected of them

• Responsible for keeping within the parameters and budgetary requisite set down for each contract.

• Undertake site safety inspections and audits on service delivery and specialist cleaning standards, be proactive to remove all non-compliance and non-conformity issues.
• Take responsibility to complete Accident/Incident reports and the site accident book in line with appropriate procedures.
• Ensure client support is provided through regular meetings
• Ensure that they give support for daily duties/schedules
• Provide out of hours support to ensure service delivery standards are met.
• Conduct operation meetings with all mobile Specialist Cleaning operatives are carried out.
• Identify any cost saving opportunities and service delivery innovations.
• Maximising and building the size of projects accounts, seek and pursue relevant opportunities.

In addition your Customer role will involve:
• Provide regular reports and attend planned and ad-hoc meetings with client representatives to ensure service delivery satisfaction.
• To understand the working relationship of the client to ensure all work to maintain the relationship.
• Manage service delivery to ensure outstanding customer service to the client, customers and visitors.• Be a customer service champion and take a proactive approach to customer service management. Develop customer service training across the staff team.

IOSH qualification an advantage. Excellent organisation with creative and problem solving skills.

This is a mobile role and will require a degree of flexibility, commitment and professionalism. A clean UK driving licence is essential as a  company vehicle is provided.

Signmaker Production and Manufacturing of corporate signs

Reporting to: Production Manager with contracted Hours (Full/Part time): 45hrs/week: 08:30 – 18:00 or 07:30 – 17:00 (with 30 min lunch)

Our client needs you to carry out manual and automated production and finishing work in a timely fashion to meet deadlines as required. Carry out all work to an acceptable quality standard to satisfy and complete customer orders ready for dispatch of signs, sign boards, banners etc using a variety of equipment and machinery.

Your main responsibilities of the job will be to: Process customer orders that require items to be manufactured or finished in the following ways:

Trimming/cutting out of printed signs by hand. Trimming/cutting out of printed signs using guillotine.

Trimming/cutting out of printed signs using saws. Punching/drilling holes in signs.

Trimming radius corners on signs. Sticking down self-adhesive vinyl graphics (wet and dry).

Laminating signs with clear vinyl (wet and dry). Cutting sign posts to length on chop saw

Cutting channel/bar on chop saw. Cutting wooden posts/steaks on chop saw

Assembly of multi part sign systems (e.g. Mark-ems)  Manufacture of custom items (e.g. Mark-em spikes, skip hangers etc.)

Application of fixing tape to stock items (e.g. acrylic pockets & posters)  Banner Production (Hem Welding & Eyeleting)

Sorting completed jobs and stacking ready for dispatch.  Quality check all work completed or observed.

Any other reasonable task within the post holder’s skill and ability as required by the organisation.
