Stores Controller with Delivery and Collection Driving

As Stores Controller you will be reporting to a Rig Co-Ordinator, the successful applicant will be based in Wokingham and will be joining an experienced and enthusiastic team of staff delivering ground investigation and geotechnical services to our wide ranging client base across the UK with the potential to work on international projects. You will be exposed to  a wide variety of sectors including major infrastructure for highways and rail, nuclear new build, onshore and offshore energy and environmental.

The positions attracts a competitive salary and benefits as well as staff development and  a comprehensive training package. 

A full clean driving license is required along with the ability to be able to tow a trailer.
A Fork Lift truck licence (counter balance) would be an advantage.

As stores controller you will  be required to carry out the following duties such as :

- Recording and organising storage of material samples returning from site.
· Despatching of samples to internal and external labs for testing.
· Maintaining a high level of tidiness in the stores.
· Accepting deliveries of site consumables and ensuring stock levels at the Wokingham stores are maintained.
· Manage and maintain equipment within the stores, PAT test items where required.
· Delivery / collection of consumables and equipment to and from site.
· Ensuring maintenance and appearance of delivery vehicle is kept to a high standard,
· Carry out daily checks and maintain forklift

Essential Skills & Competencies required for applicants are:
Full Clean UK Diving License
Mobility, flexibility and commitment.
Awareness of Health & Safety in the construction industry
Computer literate
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
Forklift Licence is an advantage

LED Installation Specialist - Team Leader

As an LED specialist you will have had several years exposure to the new and evolving world of Light Emitting Diode.

Our client is looking for a professional project manager/installation specialist who can work with teams from the ground up, manage projects, design and  implement installs, commission equipment, delivery customer satisfaction whilst ensuring the crew is motivated and the event, exhibition or installation delivers and exceeds all expectations.

  • Day to Day tasks are varied and will include the preparation and testing of LED equipment, planning of installations, hands on installation of LED displays, which may involve working at heights, therefore the appropriate qualification is required. (MCWP experienced IPAF approved - current PAL card holder desirable )
  • Building frames,  for sporting events, exhibitions, conferences as well as smaller retail units across the UK using laser levels and specialist equipment.
  • Extensive understanding of LED products and usage.
  • Managing customer expectations whilst ensuring the relevant trades and third parties are assigned their duties.
  • Providing technical support and attend as necessary service calls to diagnose issues and carry out repairs.
  • Maintain and control parts and stock 
  • Support and manage crew and assist with training and development of junior technicians
  • Keep accurate reports and liaise with senior management, sales, product, warehouse and service teams .
  • Ensure all H&S and company procedures and policy are adhered to at all  times

Whilst site based you will be working generally days 8.30 to 5.30, yet during peak periods there may times when evenings, nights and weekends are required as well as international travel or long distance driving.

Audio Visual Technician x 2

Our client specialises in the installation, hire and sale of branded and unbranded audio visual LED display equipment.   

You will be working for retail, sporting, corporate clients and also with charities, on major projects across the UK, including large scale events such as concerts, exhibitions and promotions. 

Your role as technician will be based locally, although you will be required to travel to carry out installations and repairs when necessary.

General duties include:

  • Preparation and testing of equipment prior to dispatch and upon return from customers.
  • Review and assessments of installations and delivery of components including preparation of site surveys.
  • Carrying out customer service calls and diagnosing issues face to face and via telephone support services and delivery of technical advice and guidance as required.
  • Communicating schedules, plans and programmes of events with customers and adapting to changes as required.
  • Keeping up to date records of repairs, equipment and customer accounts.
  • Assist with new installation, planning and delivery of equipment (a clean driving licence is essential) along with keeping vehicles prepared to carry out installations and repairs at all times complete with spare parts.

Follow H&S and company procedures whilst promoting a safe and clean working environment and supporting colleagues with a positive attitude.

Previous experience in a similar role is preferred,  and  interest in this sector is an advantage, although training and development may be available and promotion from within the business for non sector applicants (see the Technical Warehouse Role)

Customer Services Assistant

Our client is a leading provider of waste and recycling services across the South East. They are looking for an individual to join the clinical services team on a temporary assignment with an immediate start.

You should have good customer services skills and  be able to communicate at all levels with medical support staff, clinicians and professionals via email and telephone contact.  General administration tasks are required whilst working in this busy, small, intimate team who deliver essential services to hospitals, surgeries and medical units, reliability is key.

Hours of work 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday with 30 min unpaid lunch, the salary is negotiable subject to skills and experience but could equate to fulltime earnings in excess of £19,000 per annum.

Whilst this is initally a temporary assignment until appx October, there may be scope for a permanent opportunity for the right candidate.
