Our client is a global manufacturer of medical and optical products, used in the research, development and technology sectors and are looking for a professional Trainee Service Technician.
As Service Technician your role will be to assist the service manager by maintaining an accurate record of service jobs on site and at all stages of completion whilst managing a timely flow of work through the service department.
Carrying out a variety of administrative tasks as well as undertaking hands on servicing which includes diagnostic and fault finding duties. In addition to departmental work flow, you will be required to take on field service duties, once trained, therefore a clean current UK driving licence is essential.
In addition to the service and technical side of this role, you need to be able to maintain and manage data and complete and control documents inline with the companys standards and ISO procedures (QMS).
Arrange travel, tools, parts and procedures to carry out routine maintenance as well as communicate with customers and support teams to ensure service standards are delivered. Control and manage reports as well as equipment, tooling, parts, facilities and resources effectively and ensure H&S compliance at all times.
The successful candidate may be a graduate with an interest in electronics, machines, servicing and medical research and development or an individual with a technical or mechanical background. Full training and career development is available.
